In SUNDAY* every 7 years, a darkened world holds its breath the night before the sun will finally rise. Leo, a nervous young teenager, is just as excited to see the sun as anyone else. But after a fumbled attempt to ask out his crush and a disastrous car accident with his friends will bring to light Leo's illusions about his world, his friendships, and most importantly - himself.
SUNDAY* is special because…
It immerses the audience into a world that’s foreign yet familiar. A world with no sun is something that couldn’t possibly happen, but where other films would turn to hard sci-fi and feature hazmat suits and oxygen tanks our film takes a different approach. By simplifying this sunless world into an endless night, it makes the concept of the film effortlessly accessible - we see the night everyday. The audience can then let their imagination run wild with different questions of, “what would life in a never ending night be like?” The film features a diverse cast of young actors whose anonymity allows these characters to be truly from this world and this world alone.With a huge dystopian background . . .
The film focuses on the characters and tells a coming of age story of a bunch of stoner kids. Merging ideas from films like Get Out and Superbad, the comedy slowly turns to thrilling bloody horror - giving the audience a rollercoaster ride of experiences. With film premieres across the Midwest selling hundreds of tickets it's been an absolute pleasure to hear audiences go from laughs to gasps to cheers. Leaving the theater wanting to see more from the characters and the world. SUNDAY* explores themes of friendship, identity, and purpose, all aspects of life young people are going through and want to see represented on film. This is the movie they’ve been looking for! A coming of age stoner thriller that will leave them staring at the sun a little longer, holding their friends a little tighter, and wanting to get a little higher.

SUNDAY* Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
51 minutes of original music was created by Kurt Danielson. Armed solely with his laptop and a guitar, he created his first ever soundtrack all in his bedroom. Accompanying the various themes of the movie, the soundtrack goes from a lofi feel for introspective smoke sessions to spine tingling suspense that will make your hair stand on end. The soundtrack is on all major streaming platforms, and we’re thrilled to see the life the soundtrack will have beyond the film. Original end credits song by indie rock band
